Helen Ermelinda San Luis Mendoza

Senior Manager, Nursing & Patient Services

I joined Praava because it’s the first organization I have come across which lays an emphasis on its human resource as its most important asset. I would also like to be a part of the ‘big change’ in the delivery of healthcare in the country which only Praava can make happen.

A native of the Philippines, Helen is a registered nurse with global experience, notably in South Asia and the Middle East. She has performed various service roles, including those in public health, hospitals, specialized centers, nursing schools, and nursing administration. She has established and designed the structure of the nursing services of several hospitals, developed nursing policies, standard operating procedures and protocols, and introduced crucial systems and programs. Helen is an ardent advocate of nursing rights, and was a regular writer of her own column ‘NurseCorner’, published by a local newspaper tabloid in her hometown, to further her advocacy. She also founded Medical Colleagues CPR in India, a fully accredited American Heart Association international training center, where she served as its training faculty and one of the several instructors for the BLS and ACLS certifications. Through this center, she has successfully educated the community in several life-saving techniques. Helen continues to network with her colleagues in the profession and stay informed with current events and the latest trends in nursing and associated technology. To deepen her knowledge of the field, she has taken advantage of various online programs offered by established and reputed organizations, and is currently completing her MBA in management.
