I founded Praava because I saw a tremendous need for quality healthcare in Bangladesh. I believe positive, systemic change in Bangladesh's health care sector is as necessary as it is possible.
Ms. Sinha is the Founder and CEO of Praava Health in Bangladesh. Praava Health is a network of family health centers where patients come first. Praava is building a better patient experience enabled by technology, offering consultations with family doctors and a full range of diagnostics services including lab and imaging. Ms. Sinha built this company from scratch, largely based on inspiration derived from conversations with public health professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors in India and Asia and beyond, learning from what had worked in other markets and what made sense for Bangladesh at this moment of its economic development.
Ms. Sinha is an attorney and entrepreneur with a passion for innovative, impactful approaches to governance and international development. She has over a decade of experience leading diverse, interdisciplinary teams in international law, business, development, and government relations, including at major international law firms, management consulting firms, the World Bank, and think tanks in the Middle East and South Asia. She has independently advised private and sovereign clients on investments, projects, and disputes in frontier markets in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. She has advised governments in Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Asia on governance and legal reform, and has counseled multinational and regional clients investing and engaged in disputes in these and other markets on political, economic, and legal risk. Ms. Sinha also served as a foreign policy advisor to the 2008 Presidential campaign of then-Senator Barack Obama.
Ms. Sinha is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and also serves as a member of National University of Singapore Medicine International Council. She is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she earned a certificate from the Parker School of Comparative and International Law. She also earned a master's degree in Public Administration / International Development from Harvard's Kennedy School and her Bachelor of Arts (with honors) in Economics and Philosophy from Wellesley College and also was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford studying politics, philosophy, and economics.

Dr. Simeen M. Akhtar has over 30 years of experience working in local and international healthcare facilities. She completed her MBBS Degree at Dhaka Medical College and began her career working in the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh. She completed her ECFMG and worked as a volunteer in Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. She later moved to Thailand and worked in Bangkok’s Panja Hospital, where she completed her DTM&H in Tropical Medicine. She received her MPH from Mahidol University and soon after was a visiting physician at Georgetown Medical Center in Washington, DC. In 1992, she moved to London and completed her Master's degree in nutrition at Kings College.
Over the next two decades, she worked and pursued advanced degrees in healthcare in countries such as Spain and Malaysia. During the tenure of her career, she was involved in numerous seminars, workshops, and three JCI accreditations, earning such accolades as the Medal of Appreciation from her Royal Highness Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn. Dr. Simeen eventually returned to Bangladesh in 2009 and joined Apollo Hospitals as the general manager of quality assurance. She also earned a Health Science Management Degree from North South University in 2014. Earlier this year, she became involved with Praava Health and serves as a Senior Medical Director.
Deeply invested in community development, Dr. Simeen founded Nari Kalyan Sangstha, an organization that rehabilitates women through skill development, in her hometown of Magura. She is associated with several other social organizations committed to women’s empowerment, advocacy, and the rehabilitation of leprosy victims.

COO Sanjeev Krishna Pubbichetty brings 20 years of rich experience in customer service delivery and program management to Praava Health. He has built and led large and complex operation teams and established greenfield projects from scratch.
Most recently, Mr. Pubbichetty spent four years at Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL), (an affiliate of theApollo Hospitals Group in India) as head of operations and assistant general manager. He was responsible for building out the owned and franchisee Apollo Clinic network across India, including end-to-end customer lifecycle management and process optimization.
Previously, he worked with multinational companies such as Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications, Tata Communications, Videocon Mobile, and Etisalat DB Group, primarily in the role of operations management, service delivery, and revenue assurance. Sanjeev holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Symbiosis University, India, and a Master's in Commerce (M.Com) from Osmania University, India.

Ms. Eskander is an actuary with several years of experience in the insurance industry, particularly in micro insurance. She has a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Mount Holyoke College and a Master's degree in mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She began her career at an economics consulting firm in New York City and then continued on to pursue an actuarial career, upon which she joined a reinsurance company in London.
After moving to Bangladesh a few years ago, Ms. Eskander began developing a micro insurance program for a local microfinance institution. She continued her work on a variety of projects, which included developing agricultural insurance in Bangladesh through the IFC and World Bank, designing life insurance products for private life insurers, and conducting trainings on agricultural insurance in Uganda.

Dr. Zaheed Husain is a cancer immunologist. He is the head of the Laboratory of Immunobiology in the Division of Interdisciplinary Medicine and Biotechnology at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital, in Boston, MA and an instructor with the school’s Department of Medicine. He previously served for nearly a decade as the principal scientist and team leader in the immunology and oncology section of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. At Wyeth, Dr. Husain was responsible for the discovery of EKI-785, a small molecule inhibitor of head and neck cancers; he subsequently led a research group of biologists and chemists responsible for filing the new drug with the Federal Drug Administration. His professional memberships include the American Association for the Advancement of Science (since 1989), the American Society of Cell Biology (since 2002), and the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (since 2008). Dr. Husain earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from New York University.

Dr. Manzoor is an anaesthesiologist trained in Bangladesh. He worked in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for over a decade. Upon his return to Bangladesh, he initially took an interest in critical care before working in emergency medicine. He developed the first ICU unit at Bangladesh’s Central Hospital and served as the Director and Senior Consultant in the Department of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine.
As Managing Director of CritiCare Research Centre Pvt. Ltd., an organization focused mainly on Quality Health Care Management and the first professional EMS company in Bangladesh, Dr. Manzoor has revolutionized the concept of emergency medical services in his country. In 2007, Dr. Manzoor launched the Critical Care Foundation; in 2009, he developed the Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine as Founder and Joint Secretary. In 2010, Dr. Manzoor launched the Bangladesh Society of Emergency Medicine. Its forthcoming residency program will establish ER medicine as a specialty. Dr. Manzoor also launched a cardio-pulmonary resuscitation training through the Institute of Healthcare Development, the only centre in Bangladesh certified by the American Heart Association (AHA). He is the local medical contact for International SOS Pte. Ltd., which caters healthcare services in 60 countries. Dr. Manzoor was an advisor to the City Group in the development of Asgar Ali Hospital, a 250-bed multi-purpose hospital recently launched in the old city of Dhaka. He was appointed as South-Central Asia Vice-Chair of the Asian Association for Emergency Medical Services (AAEMS) for the term 2015-2018.

Professor Rahman is a retired Professor of Surgery and Pediatric Surgery, Bangladesh Health Services, and former Consultant General Surgeon in the United Kingdom. He graduated (MBBS) from Chittagong Medical College under University of Dhaka with distinction and completed his internship at Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Later he pursued his surgical training at the National Health Service in the UK and earned his fellowship at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS). He then became a Consultant General Surgeon at the George Elliot Hospital in Nuneaton, United Kingdom.
Professor Rahman was the first pediatric surgeon in Bangladesh's government sector-first at the Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGMR), and then in Dhaka (presently BSM Medical University). He developed the pediatric surgery specialty (planning and implementation) at the first eight government medical colleges in Bangladesh and was actively involved in the planning stages of the Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital at Uttara, Dhaka. Professor Rahman was the consultant surgeon at Holy Family Red Crescent Hospital in Dhaka before finally joining the Bangladesh Government Health Services as an associate professor of surgery. As professor of general and pediatric surgery at IPGMR, Professor Rahman was involved in the initial kidney transplant program, performing 54 live related kidney transplants. He also worked as a consultant pediatric surgeon in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before retiring from Bangladesh Health Services in 2000 as professor and head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Dhaka Medical College. After retiring from government service, he joined the Ahsania Mission Cancer and General Hospital as chief surgeon. Since 2006, he has worked in various hospitals in the UK. Widely published, Professor Rahman is a Senior Commonwealth Fellow, sponsored by the British Council, an active Rotarian, and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Ms. Imam comes to Praava Health with more than ten years of work experience in the US IT industry. She has strong leadership, technical, and business qualifications with hands-on experience in new technologies, project management, and strategic planning. Upon completing her B.S. degree from the University of New Mexico, USA in Electrical Engineering, she joined IBM (International Business Machines Inc.) as a Software Engineer and worked in High End Disk Storage Systems serving American and European clients. She completed her MBA from the University of Arizona, and worked as a Project Manager at IBM, where she drove complex software and hardware development cycles into successful client deliveries.
In 2014, Ms. Imam returned to her country of birth, Bangladesh, with a deep rooted aspiration to improve the lives of all Bangladeshis. While in Bangladesh, she worked as a Design & Innovation Lead, and Head of Partnerships Management at a Social Enterprise that was dedicated to resolving development barriers through technology. She led technical and strategic communication in a global consortium that includes Johns Hopkins University and WHO in developing a cutting edge open source-based health product aimed at empowering front-end health workers in Bangladesh. Ms. Imam's social work involves sponsoring underprivileged youth in her local community. She regularly contributes to humanitarian efforts during natural disasters in Bangladesh and across the globe.

Dr. Rahman is a physician by profession. He has a Master's in hospital administration and was on the faculty of North South University’s Department of Public Health. He has worked as a consultant in Bangladesh’s health care industry for many years now. Dr. Rahman has authored several research papers on current and pressing healthcare topics, including patient migration, the importance of accreditation in the healthcare sector of developing nations, and HIV/AIDS issues amongst university students in Dhaka.
Dr. Rahman is a strong believer in continuous learning throughout the course of one’s career and actively seeks opportunities to maintain his expertise by attending professional workshops at home and abroad. He is currently pursuing an online PGDip in hospital administration at Medivarsity in Hyderabad, India.
Md. Mahbubur Rahman

I am part of Praava's team because I believe that the people of Bangladesh deserve a better health care system; with 17 years of experience in the industry, I can contribute to developing a system that guarantees everyone this very basic human right.
Mr. Rahman is a Clinical Biochemist and Quality Management Specialist, as well as an expert in laboratory standards, quality, laboratory accreditation, and implementation of ISO 15189. His areas of expertise include implementing the laboratory quality management System as well as the College of American Pathologists's laboratory accreditation program. Prior to joining Praava Health, Mr. Rahman served as a quality management specialist and founding head of the laboratory at Thyrocare Bangladesh Ltd., a sister concern of Thyrocare Technologies Ltd., the world's largest preventive care laboratory. At Thyrocare, which is also a CAP, ISO, and NABL Accredited Laboratory, Mr. Rahman established the laboratory quality,management system, led the CAP accreditation procedures, and trained a team of over 50 professionals on good laboratory practice.
Before joining Thyrocare, Mr. Rahman worked on the implementation of ISO 15189 and Proficiency Testing Scheme in the Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory at icddr,b, (International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh) as a research officer and panel laboratory supervisor for 12 years. He was also named Best Employee. Mr. Rahman actively participates in social work and intends to continue focusing his career on the development of Quality Management Systems at diagnostic laboratories in Bangladesh.

Mr. Naimuzzaman has more than 15 years of experience working in the Human Resources sector. Over the course of his extensive career, he has held a number of leadership roles, including with Telenor Health in Bangladesh, Norway, Thailand, Malaysia, and India. One of the key highlights of his career was the significant contribution he made to the organizational development of Grameenphone in Bangladesh. Mr. Naimuzzaman has experience and expertise in various aspects of Human Resources, ranging from resourcing and employer branding, organisational development, talent management, compensation management, learning and development, HR business partner, and employee relations.
Mr. Naimuzzamane is also a visiting faculty member in the department of Human Resources at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Additionally, Mr. Naimuzzaman has experience working in customer service, sales, and marketing.
Mr. Naimuzzaman has an MBA degree from North South University and a Bachelor’s degree from Independent University, Bangladesh.

Mr. Muntasir is an experienced Marketing, Communications, and Business Management Specialist. He has experience working across industries, including consumer goods, education technology & healthcare. Over the course of his career, he has managed diverse portfolios in marketing & sales, brand management, media management, digital marketing, product management, public relations, below the line communication, marketing research, trade marketing, E-commerce, and content marketing. Mr. Muntasir was part of the marketing leadership team of Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd. as the Group Category Manager and had a significant contribution in maintaining Berger as one of the most loved brands in Bangladesh. He also worked as a Digital & Marketing Consultant in Singapore for a C2C Edtech startup named Skillagogo.
Mr. Muntasir earned his MBA from INSEAD, France & Singapore and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.

Keith is Chief Technology & Product Officer at Praava responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Praava’s core technology stack. He also oversees Praava’s product propositions, ensuring every Praava product is delivered with the best in class patient-centric experience.
Keith has over 20 years of experience in building and scaling technology solutions across retail, telecommunications, and healthcare around the world. Delivering enterprise evolution, product & service delivery, ROI, and shareholder value, he combines world-class expertise in digital media, visual collaboration, and unified communications with commercial acumen and robust change management skills. After 12 years of working in senior IT leadership positions within blue-chip organizations, Keith has spent over 8 years working in emerging and frontier markets within high growth technology start-ups. Most recently he was co-founding CTO of a digital health start-up, which he successfully scaled to 7 million customers in Bangladesh, through to exit in 2019. He sits on the advisory boards of over 20 start-ups around the world, as well as playing the role of Digital Health subject matter expert (SME) for several governments, through association with KPMG.
Keith is also active in administering open-source and technology for good projects, including one of the most significant global technology lead NCD studies with last-mile clinics deployed in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
